Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 1, 2026 · Last Updated: March 1, 2026

Fynna (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Fynna mobile application (the “App”) and our website at fynna.app (the “Website”).

We built Fynna with a privacy-first philosophy. We do not collect, store, or have access to your personal or financial data. This policy describes our practices in detail so you can use Fynna with full confidence.

1. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Fynna does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, phone number, name, or any other personal information to use the App. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or any other form of user tracking or behavioral analysis.

Specifically, we do not collect:

  • Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, address)
  • Financial data (account numbers, balances, transactions)
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Crash reports (unless you opt-in via Apple's own crash reporting)
  • Cookies or tracking technologies

2. Local Data Storage

All financial data you enter into Fynna, including income, expenses, stocks, crypto, debts, subscriptions, credit cards, liquid assets, and any other records, is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data resides in your device's local storage and is protected by your device's built-in security features, including your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

We do not have servers that store your financial data. We cannot access, view, or retrieve your data at any time, under any circumstances.

3. iCloud Sync (Pro Feature)

Fynna Pro subscribers may optionally enable iCloud sync to synchronize their data across their Apple devices. When iCloud sync is enabled:

  • Your data is encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM encryption before being uploaded to your private iCloud container.
  • The encryption occurs entirely on your device. Neither Fynna nor Apple can decrypt or read your synced data.
  • Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policy.
  • iCloud sync is completely optional and disabled by default. You must explicitly enable it.
  • You can disable iCloud sync at any time from within the App's settings.

This end-to-end encryption model means that even if Apple's iCloud servers were compromised, your financial data would remain unreadable without the encryption key stored only on your devices.

4. Market Data and Exchange Rates

To provide real-time and historical market data, Fynna fetches exchange rates, stock prices, and cryptocurrency prices from third-party data providers through our servers. When these requests are made:

  • Only market data queries are sent, such as currency codes (e.g., USD, EUR), stock ticker symbols (e.g., AAPL), or cryptocurrency identifiers (e.g., BTC).
  • No personal information, financial data, account balances, transaction details, or any user-specific data is ever transmitted.
  • These requests are standard data lookups, identical to what any financial data website provides.
  • Our servers act solely as a relay for market data and do not log, store, or associate these queries with any user identity.

5. No Tracking or Analytics

Fynna does not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tools, or tracking frameworks. We do not track how you use the App, which screens you visit, how long you spend in the App, or any other behavioral metrics. We do not participate in any advertising networks, and we do not display ads of any kind.

6. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your data with any third parties. Since we do not collect your data in the first place, there is nothing to share. The only third-party interaction occurs when fetching market data as described in Section 4, and no user data is involved in those requests.

7. In-App Purchases

Fynna Pro is available as a subscription through Apple's App Store. All purchase and payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Subscription management, billing, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID settings. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information on how Apple handles your purchase data.

8. Children's Privacy

Fynna is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since Fynna does not collect personal information from any user, this concern is inherently addressed by our privacy-first design. However, if you believe a child under 13 has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to address the matter.

9. Data Deletion

Since all your data is stored locally on your device:

  • Deleting the Fynna app from your device permanently deletes all of your locally stored financial data.
  • If you have enabled iCloud sync, your synced data can be deleted by going to iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Fynna, and choosing to delete the data.
  • You may also delete individual records or all data from within the App at any time.
  • Because we do not store your data on our servers, there is no need to request data deletion from us.

10. GDPR Compliance (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you certain rights regarding your personal data. Because Fynna does not collect, process, or store any personal data, many of these provisions are inherently satisfied:

  • Right to access: Your data is stored on your device and is fully accessible to you at all times.
  • Right to rectification: You can edit any data directly within the App.
  • Right to erasure: You can delete any or all data within the App, or delete the App entirely to remove all data.
  • Right to data portability: Your data resides on your device and in your iCloud account (if sync is enabled), both of which are under your control.
  • Right to object to processing: We do not process your data on our servers.
  • No data transfers: We do not transfer personal data to any country or third party.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information. We want to be transparent about how these rights apply in the context of Fynna:

  • We do not collect personal information as defined by the CCPA.
  • We do not sell personal information. We have never sold personal information and will never do so.
  • We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose other than those permitted by the CCPA.
  • Since we do not collect personal information, there is no category of information to disclose, delete, or correct.

12. Data Security

Your data is protected by the security measures built into your Apple device, including hardware encryption, secure enclave, and biometric authentication. When iCloud sync is enabled, your data is additionally protected by AES-256-GCM encryption performed on your device before transmission. We follow industry best practices for any server infrastructure involved in delivering market data, but we emphasize that no user financial data passes through or is stored on our servers.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through a notice within the App. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of Fynna after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
